The CONCACAF League 2018 was the second season of the competition for Central American and Caribbean club teams in football . The tournament began on July 31, 2018 with the round of 16 and ended with the finals in October 2018. Defending champion CD Olimpia from Honduras could not qualify.
The winner of the competition was the Costa Rican club CS Herediano , who beat CD Motagua from Honduras in the final with an overall result of 3: 2 and qualified for the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League . The top scorer was the Honduran Román Castillo from CD Motagua with 5 goals.

16 teams from 8 nations are taking part in the CONCACAF League 2018. The competition is carried out in a knockout system . Starting from the round of 16 up to and including the final, each round is played with a home and away leg . Up to and including the semi-finals, the away goals rule was applied in the event of a tie after both games and if this did not determine a winner, there was a penalty shoot-out ; an extension was not played. The away goals rule does not apply in the final, but overtime will be played if necessary.
Field of participants
In October 2016, FIFA suspended the Guatemalan Football Association for political interference by the government. As a result, all clubs from Guatemala were excluded from participating in international competitions. As a result, CONCACAF allocated one vacant space each to the associations from Costa Rica and Panama. The following 16 teams have qualified for the CONCACAF League 2018.
