Caimauc ( Kaimauk ) is an East Timorese Suco in the Turiscai administrative office ( Manufahi municipality ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Caimauc had an area of ​​10.87 km². Now it is 21.20 km². The Suco is located in the northwest of the Turiscai administrative office. In the south is the Suco Manumera and in the southeast of the Suco Liurai . In the northeast, Caimauc borders on the administrative office of Lequidoe ( municipality of Aileu ) with its Suco Faturilau . In the west and northwest is the Maubisse administrative office ( municipality of Ainaro ) with its Suco Maulau . A source river of the Northern Laclós flows along the border with Maulau.

The larger Sucos settlements are located in the south of the Sucos at an altitude of well over 1000  m . The northernmost is Railete . The settlements Lemano , Risso , Bussacoa ( Bucacoa , Butacoa ) and Fohua are near Turiscai , the main town of the administrative office in Suco Manumera . There are no schools or medical care in the Suco. The closest facilities are in the neighboring town of Turiscai. The Suco is also poorly connected to the outside world in terms of traffic. For the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , the ballot boxes had to be brought to and picked up again by helicopter to the polling station in the Sucover administration.

In the Suco there are the five Aldeias Bussacoa , Fohua , Lemano , Railete and Risso .

Residents

1122 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 604 are men and 518 women. The population density is 52.9 inhabitants / km². There are 176 households in the Suco. Over 69% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Almost 31% speak Tetum Prasa .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections, Sebastião de Jesus was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections, Pedro Lopes won .
