Aitemua (Aitenua) is an East Timorese Suco in the Turiscai administrative office ( Manufahi municipality ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Aitemua had an area of ​​11.81 km². Now it is 11.20 km². The Suco is located in the southeast of the Turiscai administrative office. To the north is the Suco Manumera , east of the Suco Beremana and south of the Suco Mindelo . In the west, Aitemua borders the administrative office Maubisse, which belongs to the municipality of Ainaro, with its sucos Manelobas and Manetú . The Aicocai River , into which the Carbou flows, flows through Aitemua . The Aicocai flows into the Sui , which forms the southern part of the eastern border and is one of the source rivers of the Caraulun .

There are no major roads connecting the Suco with the outside world. For the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , for example, the ballot boxes had to be brought to and from the polling station in Escola Primaria Aitemua by helicopter. In the north lies the main town Laclo and in the southeast the village Furac Lau ( Furak Lau , Furaclau ).

In the Suco are the two Aldeias Furac Lau and Laclo .

Residents

817 inhabitants (2015) live in the Suco, of which 413 are men and 404 women. The population density is 73.0 inhabitants / km². There are 107 households in the Suco. Over 92% of the population state Mambai as their mother tongue. Almost 6% speak Tetum Prasa , while small minorities speak Sa'ane or Idaté .

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Agostinho da Conceição elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected.
