The Carbou ( Portuguese Rio Carbou ; tetum Mota Carbou ) is a left tributary of the Aicocai in the East Timorese administrative office Turiscai ( municipality of Manufahi ).

course

The Carbou rises roughly in the middle between the villages of Cotomata ( Suco Manelobas , Maubisse administrative office , Ainaro municipality ) and Toilero (Suco Manumera , Turiscai administrative office) in Manumera, at an altitude of about 1200  m .

Initially flowing in a south-south-west direction, the strongly meandering river turns towards south-south-east after a few hundred meters . Now the river forms the border of the sucos Manumera and Aitemua . In the border triangle of the Sucos Beremana , Manumera and Aitemua, a tributary flows into the Carbou on the left, the lower course of which forms the boundary between Beremana and Manumera. This now forms the border between Aitemua and Beremana in the lower reaches.

After about four kilometers, the river flows into the Aicocai west of Fahilebo (Suco Beremana) at an altitude of about 920  m .
