Camillo Cibotti (born October 28, 1954 in Casalbordino , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Isernia-Venafro .

Life

After studying at the regional seminar in Chieti at the Accademia Alfonsiana, Camillo Cibotti obtained a degree in moral theology . On July 1, 1978, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Chieti-Vasto .

In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he was spiritual at the regional seminar in Chieti from 1985 to 1988 . He was also professor of moral theology at the Theological Institute of the Abruzzo-Molise ecclesiastical region and episcopal vicar for the laity . From 2005 until his appointment as bishop he was vicar general of the Archdiocese of Chieti-Vasto. Pope Benedict XVI awarded him the title of Papal Honorary Chaplain ( Monsignor ) on December 5, 2005 .

On May 8, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Isernia-Venafro . The Archbishop of Chieti-Vasto, Bruno Forte , donated him episcopal ordination on June 11th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Campobasso-Boiano , Giancarlo Maria Bregantini , and the Archbishop of Capua , Salvatore Visco . The inauguration in the diocese of Isernia-Venafro took place on June 28 of the same year.
