Last year's winner was Nick Matthew , who did not participate again. In the final, Mathieu Castagnet defeated the top seeded Omar Mosaad with 6:11, 11: 7, 11: 8 and 11: 5. With this Castagnet won his third and at the same time biggest title on the PSA World Tour .
The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard got Ben Coleman a starting spot in the main draw.
In the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points are paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round.
