The Canon de 155 mm C modèle 1915 Saint-Chamond was a heavy field gun of the French artillery . It was developed by the "Compagnie des forges et aciéries de la marine et d'Homécourt" in Saint-Chamond and used in the heavy artillery regiments as a replacement for the obusier Obusier de 155 mm CTR modèle 1904 . The guns were in use during the First World War and also during the Second World War .

A prototype was delivered to Mexico.

After the autumn battle in Artois , 400 guns were ordered in 1915, and they were delivered by the following year. A small number were given up to the Serbian and Romanian armies in 1917/1918. An unknown number was deployed by the Finnish Army during the Winter War .

Still in use at the beginning of the Second World War, they were captured by the German Wehrmacht after the French campaign and used both in field artillery and in the Atlantic Wall .
