After the 2008 season ended without a playoff participation, Pondexter was able to contribute with their performance to get the second WNBA title for the team from Phoenix in the 2009 season . Before the 2010 season, she moved to the New York Liberty team as part of a trade . She played for Liberty for five seasons. As in Phoenix, she was in the starting line-up for every game she played in New York. Despite her continued good performance, the team did not succeed. During this time, the playoffs were reached only three times and only one series was won there.
Pondexter has been playing for the Chicago Sky team since the 2015 season . There she was able to reach the playoffs twice. In 2016 , for the first time in her WNBA career, she was not part of the team's starting line-up in some games and her playing times fell below 30 minutes per game for the first time. In addition, she missed the playoffs for the first time with the Sky.
After her contract with the Chicago Sky expired, Pondexter signed a contract with the Los Angeles Sparks before the 2018 season . After 13 games for the Sparks without a game in the starting lineup, she was released again.
