After the end of World War II , Captain Webster Carey travels back to Orta San Giulio , a small community near Milan , to find the person who betrayed his OSS team and killed thousands of civilians. His former mistress Giulia, he believed that it was during the war in the hands of the Nazis fall and died, is married to a nobleman. He's trying to find out if she might be the traitor.
