Carl Heinz Wienert

Carl Heinz Wienert (born April 26, 1923 in Hattorf (am Harz ), † January 1, 1963 in Hamburg ) was a German painter of concrete art and university lecturer.

life and work

Carl Heinz Wienert studied from 1948 to 1953 at the art academy in Kassel . In 1954 he got a teaching position at the art and factory school in Pforzheim , which he held until 1959. From 1959 until his death on January 1, 1963, Carl Heinz Wienert was professor at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts .

Since 1961 he was a member of the German Association of Artists , in whose major annual exhibitions he participated five times between 1956 and 1963. In 1964, his works were shown posthumously at documenta III in Kassel in the 1964 Aspects Department .

Carl Heinz Wienert was a representative of Concrete Art . He has created numerous abstract compositions, many in casein on canvas. He was also active in the field of glass painting . The last work by Wienert was the draft for the windows of the Sankt-Petri-Kirche in Geesthacht .
