Carl Friedrich Felix von Behr (born April 24, 1865 in Behrenhoff ; † September 5, 1933 there ) was a manor owner in the province of Pomerania and a Prussian politician.

Life

Carl (called Charly) Graf von Behr came from the Gützkower line of the von Behr family, based on Behrenhoff in the Greifswald district in Pomerania . He was the son of Carl von Behr (1835-1906) and Karoline Freiin von Krassow . During his studies in Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia in 1884 .

From 1895 (1905) to 1918 he was district administrator for the district of Greifswald . During his tenure, he was particularly committed to building small railways in the district. From 1907 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania . From 1910 he was a member of the provincial committee , of which he became chairman in 1918. In 1911 he was appointed royal chamberlain.

From 1909 to 1918 he was a member of the Prussian mansion , where he had been chairman of the "Old Fraction" since 1912, when he presented the old and fortified properties in the Neuvorpommern and Rügen countryside . From 1921 to 1923 he was a member of the Prussian State Council . From 1921 to 1933 he was the Plenipotentiary of the Province of Pomerania to the Reichsrat .

His first marriage since 1897 was to Ester Adelheid von Caprivi and his second marriage to Maria Mechtild von Heyden. He had no children of his own and adopted his nephew to succeed him.
