Hans Dietrich Hermann Ernst von Zanthier (born August 24, 1856 in Beyershagen , † December 17, 1925 in Pütnitz ) was a Prussian district administrator and politician.

family

He came from the old noble family Zanthier and was the son of the homonymous landowner Hans Dietrich von Zanthier (1821-1904), landlord of Pütnitz, Beyershagen and Tempel (all today districts of Ribnitz-Damgarten ) and Pätschow (today district of Groß Polzin ), and the Auguste von Santen (1830–1900).

Zanthier married on December 1, 1890 in Dresden Margarete (Marga) von Schönberg (* July 2, 1869 in Leipzig , † February 3, 1948 in Bad Doberan , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), the daughter of the royal Saxon real privy councilor Bernhard von Schönberg , President of the Chamber of Accounts, and Marie Fischer .

His direct ancestor was the Graflich-Stolbergsche Oberforstmeister Hans Dietrich von Zanthier (1717–1778).

Life

Zanthier studied in Göttingen and was active there in the Corps Saxonia in 1876 . He was landlord on Pütnitz , royal Prussian Privy Councilor and from 1889 to 1906 district administrator of the Franzburg district . He was a legal knight of the Order of St. John . In 1909 he became a member of the Prussian manor house on presentation of the old and fortified properties in the rural district of Neuvorpommern and Rügen .
