Carole Raphaelle Davis (born February 17, 1958 in London , England ) is an actress and singer .

Life

Davis worked as a model and posed for Playboy in 1978. In 1980 she posed for Penthouse magazine under the name Tamara Kapitas and was Penthouse Model of the Month in January 1980 and second in the model of the year in 1981. Davis began her film career in 1981 with the slapstick film Some like plump at the side of Samantha Fox and Dolly Dollar . In the same year she starred in the horror film Piranha 2 - The Flying Killer , the first feature film by director James Cameron , alongside Lance Henriksen and Tricia O'Neil . In 1987 she was seen in the comedy Mannequin in the role of Roxie Shield. With the beginning of the 1990s she worked more often for television. Davis made her television debut in 1984 in the series The A-Team ; in the 1990s, she starred in Star Trek: Spaceship Voyager and Sex and the City, among others . Her other TV roles include appearances in Angel and 2 Broke Girls .

In 1989 she published at Warner Bros. with Heart of Gold , a first album. It contained Slow Love, a track that Davis had composed with Prince , and which was first published on his 1987 album Sign o 'the Times . Another album followed in 1993 on Atlantic Records . Neither of their two albums achieved any significant commercial success.

Her daughter, who was divorced in 2004 with Stewart Eisenberg, has been in a relationship with Simon Cowell since 2013 .

Davis has written a number of articles on anti-Semitism in Europe for The Jewish Journal . As a writer, she is the author of The Diary of Jinky, a Hollywood Woman's Dog , a non-fiction book about Hollywood excesses and fear of human status, written from the perspective of a dog waiting to be euthanized in its cage. She has contributed to various animal welfare publications, including American Dog Magazine , for which she also worked as an investigative journalist. She had an animal welfare column on Newsvine and ran her own blog Hollywood Dog via Blogspot and was a co-initiator of the French MeToo movement . She is the West Coast director of Companion Animal Protection Society, a national nonprofit that investigates puppy farms and pet stores .
