Caspar Klein (born August 28, 1865 in Elben , † January 25, 1941 in Paderborn ) was a German Roman Catholic bishop . He was the first archbishop of Paderborn .

Caspar Klein grew up in Schneppenohl in the Biggetal, in the area of ​​today's Biggesees . He graduated from high school Theodorianum in Paderborn. After studying in Münster he received on 21 March 1890 in Paderborn by Auxiliary Bishop Franz Wilhelm Cramer from Münster the priesthood . He then worked as a pastor in Bochum and from 1901 in Röhlingshausen before the Paderborn bishop Karl Joseph Schulte appointed him cathedral capitular in 1911 and his vicar general on December 28, 1912 .

When Bishop Schulte was elected Archbishop of Cologne, Pope Benedict XV appointed. Caspar Klein became Bishop of Paderborn on April 30, 1920. Klein was a member of the KStV Germania Münster in the KV . In 1930 he became an honorary citizen of the city of Paderborn .

Caspar Klein died on January 25, 1941 in Paderborn. His grave is in the crypt of Paderborn Cathedral .
