Cecilie Hauståker Fiskerstrand (born March 20, 1996 ) is a Norwegian football goalkeeper . The goalkeeper is under contract with the English club Brighton & Hove Albion and has played for the Norwegian national team since 2014 , which she became number 1 after the 2019 World Cup.

Career

societies

Fiskerstrand started her career in Langevåg . In 2014 she moved to the second division Fortuna Ålesund and played first in the U-19 team and then also for the A team. In 2014 she moved to the first division club Stabæk FK , where Ingrid Hjelmseth , the 16-year-old senior goalkeeper of the national team, also plays. Therefore, she has only played a few appearances in the A-team and played more often for U-19 and the second team. For the 2016 season she moved to Lillestrøm SK Kvinner , where she got jersey number "1", but was behind the 30-year-old goalkeeper Lill Karlsrud and only made three appearances. Her first season at LSK ended with a double . From the 2017 season she was the goalkeeper, was able to defend the championship as in the following year and win the cup again in 2018. She also made her first appearance in the UEFA Women's Champions League in October 2017 . First, the sixteenth-finals were survived by a goalless home draw and a 3-1 away win against Brøndby IF . In the round of 16 there was a 5-0 home and 2-1 away defeat against Manchester City . In the 2018/19 UEFA Women's Champions League , she remained clean in three games of the sixteenth and eighth finals and reached the quarter-finals with her team, where after two defeats (0: 3 and 0: 1) against the women of FC Barcelona the last stop was.

In January 2020 she moved to the English first division club Brighton & Hove Albion on a free transfer , where she received a contract until June 30, 2021.

National team

Fiskerstrand went through the Norwegian junior teams and took part with the U-19 team in the 2015 U-19 European Women's Football Championship , where she was used in two group games and not conceded a goal. Since the first game in which regular goalkeeper Aurora Mikalsen was in goal was lost 4-0 to Spain, the Norwegians were eliminated as third.

On January 17, 2014, she made her first appearance in the Norwegian women's national team in a game against England in La Manga , where she was in the starting line-up. She then had to wait almost a year for her second assignment and again it was La Manga where she came on after an hour for Ingrid Hjelmseth on January 15, 2015. She was then also nominated for the Algarve Cup 2015 and started again in the second group game against Iceland . In May 2015 she was nominated as the youngest Norwegian player for the 2015 World Cup . But she did not play and was eliminated with her team in the round of 16. In the following years she remained second goalkeeper and was usually only used in friendly matches or less important tournaments. After all, she was able to defend this position against the competitor from the junior era, who played more games there but has not yet come to an international match.

Fiskerstrand was also nominated for the 2017 European Championship , in which Norway could not score a goal for the first time without being used and was eliminated as the bottom of the group. It was also not used in the subsequent qualification for the 2019 World Cup . At the Algarve Cup 2019 she was in goal in the 2-1 victory in the group game against Denmark and the final against Poland , which was won 3-0. On May 2, she was nominated as the second goalkeeper for the 2019 World Cup , but was not used there. After the World Cup, long-time number 1 Ingrid Hjelmseth ended her national team career and Fiskerstrand became the new number 1 goal for the Norwegians.
