The CENIT AG is a global software and process consulting company, offering products and services in the areas of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Information Management (EIM) and Consulting at. Among the most important target industries belonging manufacturing industries ( automotive , aviation and aerospace industry, mechanical engineering ) and the financial services industry .
history
CENIT GmbH CAD / CAM Integration and Organization was founded on April 1st, 1988 by the five ex-IBM employees Falk Engelmann, Norbert Fink, Hubertus Manthey, Rüdiger Passehl and Andreas Schmidt. A year later an office was set up in Munich and in 1993 in Saarbrücken . Two years later, a further branch was established in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main . 1995 also began the cooperation with FileNet . The service area expanded to Hanover in the following year , where a first branch was set up in 1996.
In 1998 the company was converted from a GmbH to a stock corporation . The IPO was on May 6, 1998 on the Neuer Markt in Frankfurt / Main. In 2000 branches were founded in Hamburg and Berlin . The company expanded into the USA in 2001 with the establishment of CENIT North America . In the same year, a contractual agreement was reached in Stuttgart on the strategic alliance between Dassault Systèmes , IBM and CENIT. In 2003, CENIT expanded the partnership with SAP . Three years later, a PLM training center was established in Romania and, in 2007, another subsidiary in France .
In 2008, CENIT announced its new partnership with Right Hemisphere . As a result, the PLM service provider cad scheffler in Oelsnitz was taken over . 2010 for the takeover of the management and technology consulting company conunit , the takeover of the Swiss subsidiary of Transcat PLM AG in 2011 and the establishment of a subsidiary in Japan . In 2012, CENIT entered into a partnership with the software company Alfresco . Two years later, CENIT took over the French software development company SPI Numérique . The new Consulting division was founded in 2015 and the French PLM company Keonys SAS was taken over in 2017 . Also in 2017, CENIT took over a majority stake in SynOpt GmbH and thus expanded its competence and the solution portfolio in the field of simulation solutions.
Products
In the PLM division, the focus is on the marketing of products and solutions from the Dassault Systèmes provider with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and CATIA . In addition to Dassault Systèmes, there has been a long-term collaboration with SAP in the area of SAP PLM. The Digital Factory department develops and implements solutions for the definition, automation and simulation of manufacturing processes and production sequences (FASTSUITE Edition 2). In the EIM division , CENIT works with IBM and Pitney Bowes. The partnership with IBM focuses on the subjects of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) based on IBM FileNet and the IBM Content Manager as well as Business Intelligence (BI) with IBM Cognos and SAP Business Objects .

In Germany , the company is represented at nine locations in Berlin , Frankfurt , Hamburg , Hanover , Munich , Oelsnitz , Ratingen , Saarbrücken and the headquarters in Stuttgart .
Internationally, CENIT is also actively represented as the CENIT Group in the USA , Japan , France , Switzerland and Romania and, via Keonys, since 2017 also in Belgium and the Netherlands .
