Chärstelenbach

The Chärstelenbach is an 11.8 kilometer long right tributary of the Reuss in the Maderanertal in the Swiss canton of Uri . It is the most water-rich tributary of the Reuss before it flows into the Urnersee .

geography

course

The Chärstelenbach rises on the Hüfigletscher between Schärhorn and Gross Düssi near the border with the canton of Graubünden and shortly afterwards forms the Hüfisee . It now flows in a south-westerly direction, incorporating the Brunnibach and Etzlibach from the left , and shortly after the Chärstelenbach bridge of the railway, after around 12 kilometers , joins the Reuss at Amsteg .
