Champasak (also Champassak , Lao ຈໍາ ປາ ສັກ ) is a province ( Khwaeng ) in the southwest of Laos . Their capital is Pakse . It borders on Thailand and Cambodia and is traversed by the Mekong .
The for World Heritage Site belonging group of temples Wat Phu , the area Si Phan Don ( "Four Thousand Islands") and the Mekong cases are located in the province of Champasak, which also includes the Bolaven Plateau for the most part is.
