Charles Correll (director)

Charles James Correll Jr. (born January 23, 1944 in Los Angeles , California - † June 4, 2004 in Tarzana , Los Angeles, California) was an American cinematographer and film director .

Life

Charles James Correll Jr. was born the son of comedian Charles Correll (1890–1972). He had two older sisters and a younger brother, director Richard Correll . Correll started as a camera assistant to Jack Webb on the US series Police Report and quickly worked his way up to the cameraman, where, in addition to series such as Kojak - Use in Manhattan and Columbo, he also appeared in films like Star Trek III: In Search of Mr. Spock and the super idiot worked. From the end of the 1980s Correll switched completely to directing and was working until the end as a director for series such as MacGyver , Seven Days - Das Tor zur Zeit , CSI: Miami and Without a Trace - disappeared without a trace .

On June 4, 2004 Correll died of a pancreatic tumor and left his two daughters and son here in addition to his wife Robin.
