Charles Kaboré (born February 9, 1988 in Bobo-Dioulasso ) is a Burkinabe soccer player . The midfielder is the captain and record player for the Burkinabe national soccer team . Since August 2010 he has also had French citizenship.

Career

The midfielder began his career with AS-SONABEL Ouagadougou in the country's capital. He then played for record champions Étoile Filante Ouagadougou and moved to France in 2006 to join the lower-class club FC Libourne-Saint-Seurin . In December 2007 he signed a contract with Olympique Marseille . With Marseille he won the French championship in 2010 and the Coupe de la Ligue in 2010 and 2011 .

Kaboré made his debut for the Burkinabe national soccer team in 2006 and soon established himself as an important player in his country's squad. In 2010 he took part in the African Championship in Angola with the country selection .
