Chhonhup ( Nepali छोनहुप or Chhondup ) is a Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Mustang district in the upper river valley of the Kali Gandaki .

Chhonhup is located in the far north of the district on the border with the Tibet Autonomous Region ( PR China ). Chhonhup is north of Lo Manthang and was formerly part of the Lo Kingdom .

Residents

At the 2011 census, Chhonhup had 801 inhabitants (365 male) in 202 households.
