Kowang ( Nepali लेते ; also Kobang ) is a village and a Village Development Committee in the Mustang district in the upper river valley of the Kali Gandaki .
The place Kowang is located at an altitude of 2550 m on the western bank of the Kali Gandaki in the south of the district. In the south, Kowang borders on Lete , in the north on Tukuche . The place is on the Annapurna Circuit on the road to Jomsom, 20 km further north .
Residents
In 2001 the population was 914. At the 2011 census, Kowang had 727 inhabitants (378 of them male) in 198 households.
