Chord Overstreet
Chord Overstreet (born February 17, 1989 in Nashville , Tennessee ) is an American actor and singer , best known for his role as Sam Evans in the hit series Glee , in which he can be seen from the second season.
Life
Overstreet is the third of six children of country singer and songwriter Paul Overstreet . The first name is derived from the English word for chord - chord. His parents encouraged him from the beginning to devote himself to music. In his early years he began to play the mandolin, as well as drums and guitar soon after. In his youth he modeled z. B. for Famous Footwear and Gap . He also writes music himself, but is not under contract.
He was in a relationship with Emma Roberts from July 2011 to February 2012 .
Career
Overstreet began his acting career in the Internet series Private . He also made a guest appearance on an episode of the Nickelodeon teenage series iCarly and the unaired pilot of My Superhero Family .
In the second season of the musical series Glee , he played the recurring role of Sam Evans . During the casting, he sang Easy from The Commodores and Gavin DeGraw's I Don't Want to Be and recorded the song Billionaire by Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars in the studio , which he then sang in an episode of the series. After Overstreet was not promoted to lead actor for the third season, he left the series. A month after the third season started, he changed his mind, so he could be seen again from the eighth episode of the season.
Since the beginning of the fourth season in September 2012, he has been one of the main cast of Glee . For the single Hold on released in 2017 , he was honored with a platinum record in the USA in April 2020 and silver in the UK in July 2020.
