Chrastice (German Kratzdorf ) is a district of the city of Staré Město in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers southwest of Staré Město and belongs to the Okres Šumperk .

geography

Chrastice extends in the southeast of the Kłodzko Snow Mountains on the right side of the Chrastický creek in a small side valley. To the north rises the Mlýnský vrch ( Mühlberg , 689 m), in the northwest the Velká Šindelná ( Schindelberg , 1195 m) and west of the Souš ( Steinberg , 1224 m). The two Sauberge are in the southwest. To the east of the village, the railway line from Hanušovice to Staré Město runs through the Krupá valley .

Neighboring towns are Štěpánov in the north, Staré Město and Šléglov in the northeast, Vikantice in the east, Rudkov in the southeast, Habartice and Vysoké Žibřidovice in the south, Vysoká in the southwest, Bystřina in the west and Hynčice pod Sušinou in the northwest. To the west of the village is the Cibulka desert ( Cibulkafeld ).

history

The village of Grossdorf was first mentioned in writing in 1325 when Hannß von Wustehube gave it to the Kamenz monastery . After the Hussite Wars , the village came back to the Goldenstein rule . In 1677 Kratzdorf consisted of 39 properties.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kratzdorf formed a political municipality in the district of Mährisch Schönberg . In 1880 the village had 512 inhabitants and in 1930 there were 416.

As a result of the Munich Agreement , the municipality was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district until 1945 . In 1939 Kratzdorf had 409 inhabitants. After the Second World War, the German residents were expelled .

In 1961 Hynčice pod Sušinou was incorporated and in 1976 Chrastice lost its independence and became a district of Staré Město.
