Chris Obi
Christopher "Chris" Obi Ogugua (born September 24, 1970 in London , England ) is a British - Nigerian actor .
life and career
Chris Obi was born in London to a Nigerian who belongs to the Igbo ethnic group . After school he attended the Drama Center London , which he graduated in 2001. During his time there, Obi took on the role of an artistry director. He first appeared in the theater in 2002 when he took on the role of a messenger in a Macbeth production in the West End . He subsequently appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company , for example in the play Breakfast with Mugabe directed by Antony Sher, and was seen at the Globe Theater until 2007 .
Obi has been active in film and television since 2002. At first he mainly took on series roles, such as in The Price of Crime , Murder on Page One or Doctors . In 2010 he starred in the film Burke & Hare . This was followed by a supporting role as Mirror Man in the film Snow White and the Huntsman . He also booked other film roles with The Counselor and Ghost in the Shell. In 2017 he starred as Anubis in the series American Gods and took on a guest role as T'Kuvma in the first two episodes of Star Trek: Discovery .
Obi has a close friendship with his fellow actor Charlie Cox .
