Christian Clauss
Christian Clauß (born April 4, 1984 in Frankenberg / Sa. ) Is a German actor and speaker.
Life
Christian Clauß was born in the GDR district of Karl-Marx-Stadt . Before starting his acting training, he completed an engineering degree at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences . From 2007 to 2011 he then studied acting at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig .
From 2009 to 2011 he was a member of the drama studio of the Dresden State Theater and already played his first small roles. These included u. a. Sandor Mayer in Die Firma thanks von Lutz Hübner (2011; directed by Susanne Lietzow ), Abraham, the servant in the Montague house, in Romeo and Juliet (2009; directed by Simon Solberg ) and Eginhard von der Wart in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (2010 ; Director: Julia Hölscher ). In the 2010/11 season he was a guest at the Nationaltheater Weimar as Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet .
From the 2011/12 season until the end of the 2016/17 season he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Dresden State Theater. His stage roles there included u. a. Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice (2011; Director: Tilmann Köhler ), the robber Roller and Daniel, the servant of Count von Moor, in The Robbers (2012; Director: Sebastian Baumgarten ), Orest in Die Flies (2012; Director: Andreas Kriegenburg ), the valet Michel in Der Parasit (2013; director: Stefan Bachmann ), Graf Appiani in Emilia Galotti (2013; director: Sandra Strunz ), Truffaldino in The Servant of Two Lords (2013; director: Bettina Bruinier ), Sebastian in Was you want (2014; director: Andreas Kriegenburg), Mellefont in Miss Sara Sampson (2015; director: Sebastian Kreyer ), Le Beau in As You Like It (2015; director: Jan Gehler ) and the jailer in Maß für Maß (2015; Director: Tilmann Köhler).
In the 2015/16 season he took on the role of Emil Gross, known as Sterneck, in The Rape of the Sabine Women by Franz and Paul von Schönthan (director: Susanne Lietzow) at the Dresden State Theater. In the 2016/17 season he played at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden a. a. the role of Horatio in a new production of Hamlet (director: Roger Vontobel ). In the 2016/17 season he also took on the role of Shermajah in Job (premiere: February 2017, director: Nurkan Erpulat ). Clauss continues to play Horatio at the Dresden State Theater, for example in the 2017/18 season.
Occasionally Clauss was also active as a film and television actor. In the Russian feature film Paradies by Andrei Sergejewitsch Michalkow-Konschalowski he played a leading role, the German SS standard leader Helmut von Axenberg. In February 2017 he was seen in the ZDF crime series SOKO Leipzig in a supporting role, as a suspected ex-boyfriend of a murdered travel journalist. In the ZDF series Inga Lindström , Clauß played the main male role as archaeologist Magnus Blomquist in the episode Lilith and the Men story, which was first broadcast in February 2018 . In the 4th season of the television series In allerfreund - The young doctors , he took on an episode lead role in episode 154 (first broadcast: September 2018); He played the risk analyst Lutz Weimann, who is hospitalized after an injury while packing furniture.
Clauß was also active as a radio play speaker (including in productions for the MDR and NDR). He lives in Dresden .
