Christian Dissinger (born November 15, 1991 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German handball player . The right-handed player plays on the left back space .
Career
society
He learned to play handball at TSG Friesenheim , where he went through all youth teams and made his debut as a 17-year-old in the second division team, with whom he was promoted to the first division in 2010. In the second half of the 2009/2010 season he played with double play for SG Kronau / Östringen . Dissinger rose with TSG Lu.-Friesenheim from the 2nd Bundesliga to the 2010 Bundesliga .
At the beginning of the 2011/2012 season he moved to the Kadetten Schaffhausen . In 2012, he won the Swiss championship with the Cadets. In October 2011 he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in the Champions League game against Barcelona ; on September 22nd, 2012 he made his comeback after a forced break of 351 days against HC Kriens-Luzern .
In June 2013 Dissinger signed a three-year contract with Atlético Madrid , despite tearing his second cruciate ligament in April 2013. Due to the bankruptcy of Atlético Madrid Dissinger was initially without a club. Since January 15, 2014 Dissinger has been training with Bundesliga club TuS N-Lübbecke and on April 21, 2014 made his comeback at the game at Frisch Auf Göppingen . In June 2014 he signed a contract until summer 2016.
On April 29, 2015, the German record champions THW Kiel announced that they would sign Christian Dissinger for the 2015/16 season. He signed a contract in Kiel until 2017 , which was extended in January 2016 by three years until 2020.
After Dissinger and THW Kiel terminated his contract in October 2018, he joined the Macedonian club RK Vardar Skopje , with which he won the EHF Champions League and the North Macedonian championship in 2019 .
National team
Dissinger played more than 30 international matches for the German junior national team. With the German selection he won the Junior World Championship in Greece in 2011 and was named the best left backcourt player as well as the “ most valuable player ”.
Christian Dissinger has been part of the extended squad of the German senior national team since October 2011 . After his injury (October 2011 to September 2012) he was called up for the international matches against Switzerland for the first time in March 2013 and made his debut against Switzerland on March 9, 2013 in Wetzlar. At the European Championship 2016 he suffered an adductor injury in the penultimate main round match against Russia, in which he scored seven goals, and could no longer be used. The team won the title against Spain on January 31, 2016. Dissinger was awarded the sports badge of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate for winning the European championship .
At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , he won the bronze medal with the German team. For this he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Gauck on November 1, 2016 .
