Christian Gutfleisch

Christian Gutfleisch (born June 27, 1968 in Säckingen ) is a German jazz musician (piano, keyboards).

Gutfleisch grew up in a musical family. He studied jazz piano at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern with Joe Haider . Then he worked at the Basel Theater and the Basel Jazz School. Gutfleisch belonged to the groups of Benoît Piccand ( Elefanterprise ), Marcel Haag, Michael Heitzler, Thomas Moeckel and Nina Bradlin; he played salsa with Picason and Klezmer with Playin 'Tachles . He performed at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival with David Klein's project Selma and accompanied Thomas D , Sarah Connor , Reinhard Mey and Stefanie Kloß . He also worked with musicians such as Cécile Verny , Adam Taubitz , Simon Wyrsch, Alex Hendriksen , Adrian Mears , Peter Schmidlin , Lisette Spinnler , Roman Dyląg , Jérôme Barde, Dave Doran , Sandy Patton , Domenic Landolf , Rachel Gould , Renato D'Aiello , Stephan Kurmann , Andy Scherrer , Julio Barreto , Reggie Johnson and with Miriam Klein . Together with Dominik Schürmann and Elmar Frey , he founded the jazz piano trio Gutfleisch-Schürmann-Frey in 2017 .

Since 2009 Gutfleisch has also been teaching piano at MKZ (Music School Zurich Conservatory) and since 2010 teaching electronic keyboard instruments at Binningen-Bottmingen Music School.
