Christian Jahl
Christian Jahl (born December 8, 1972 in Düsseldorf ) is a German musician , writer and songwriter .
Live and act
During his studies at the University of Cologne , where he obtained his master's degree in musicology , he published his first poems in 1999 at Martin Werhand Verlag in the anthology Junge Lyrik . In 2002, a historical illustrated book about the city of Meerbusch followed , in which he had completed his Abitur at the municipal Meerbusch-Gymnasium . In 2003 he brought out a musicological examination of the music of the British rock musician Sting with the title Sting - The music of a rock star . In December 2015 his first own volume of poetry Großstadtsommer was published in the 100 poems series by Martin Werhand Verlag . His second poetry publication appeared a year later under the name newspaper stand in the series 50 poems by the same publisher.
As a trained guitarist and keyboardist, Jahl has worked live and in the studio in a wide variety of music projects and a. with artists like David Graham , Toni Putrino, Thomas Battenstein and the singer and actress Isabell Classen . He also wrote and produced music for trailers and presentation films. In the international project The Beatles Complete On Ukulele by the New York producers Roger Greenawalt and David Barratt, he was the only German artist with the song If I Needed Someone by George Harrison , the German version of which he titled Wenn ich ein sucht Someben rewritten and recorded. Further music publications followed, including a. the album Café Germany . To support his home club Fortuna Düsseldorf in promotion to the 1st Bundesliga in 2012, he wrote and produced the title Sonne des Westens .
In 2011, Jahl was seen in a guest role as a teacher in Roland Suso Richter's film Dschungelkind .
