Christian Moritz Alexander von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf
Christian Moritz Alexander von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf (born January 24, 1732 in Wundschütz , † April 23, 1794 in Ansbach ) was a Prussian major general and chief of the 11th Hussar Regiment .
Life
origin
His parents were Hans Wolf von Frankenberg (* July 25, 1686; † October 26, 1756) and his wife Johanna Helene, born von Schimonsky from the Uschitz family. Major general Karl Wolfgang von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf was his brother.
Military career
In 1749 he became a Junker in the Dewitz hussar regiment . There he became a cornet on September 23, 1752 . During the Seven Years' War he took part in the battles of Lobositz , Leuthen , Kunersdorf , Torgau , Freiberg and the battle near Strehlen. During this time he was promoted to second lieutenant on February 5 , 1760 to prime lieutenant and on January 20, 1762 to captain and squadron chief. In addition, on October 29, 1762, he received the order Pour le Mérite for his bravery in the Battle of Freiberg.
On September 5, 1775 he became a major and as such took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession . On September 5, 1785 he was appointed regimental commander. On May 22, 1787 he became a lieutenant colonel and on June 6, 1787, he became a colonel . To this end, he was appointed Drost von Friedeburg on October 31, 1790 . When Ansbach-Bayreuth fell to Prussia in 1792, Frankenberg was commissioned by the king to set up a hussar regiment. On March 17, 1792 he became chief of the newly established Hussar Regiment No. 11 in Ansbach. Then he was promoted to major general on January 13, 1793. He died on April 23, 1794 in Ansbach.

In 1765 he married Friederike Elisabeth von Köckritz and Friedland (* June 6, 1747; † August 6, 1822). The couple had the following children:
