Christian Paul Aecker (* around 1786 ; † after 1837 ) from Seußen in Northern Bavaria was a German entrepreneur in the porcelain industry .

Life

Christian Paul Aecker had become a wealthy landowner and in 1822 co-founder of the porcelain factory CM Hutschenreuther in Hohenberg an der Eger through his marriage to the daughter of the Seußen chief forester von Reitz, who had previously been part of larger inheritances .

This was the hour of birth of the porcelain industry in the Fichtelgebirge , which became famous all over the world.

In 1829 Aecker operated a sawmill at the former Zeitler pressing plant in Elisenfels and, despite strong opposition from Hutschenreuther, founded his own Aeckerische porcelain and earthenware factory in Schirnding in 1838 , but no data is available about its continued existence, takeover or closure.

In most Chronicles is Lorenz Reichel as the author of the porcelain industry mentioned in Schirnding. In fact, he only founded his porcelain factory in 1904.

Aecker's only son, Johann Christoph Lorenz Aecker , founded the Aeck porcelain and stoneware factory in Arzberg in 1839 .
