Wolf-Christian Richard Setzepfandt (born May 26, 1957 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German historian , art historian , author and city ​​guide in Frankfurt am Main and there also a former honorary member of the magistrate .

Life

Christian Setzepfandt spent his childhood and youth in Frankfurt's Westend . After graduating from high school , he lived in Indonesia for some time and studied industrial design in Kassel and Frankfurt from 1976 and later English and art history . He then spent more than two years in the United States to study language. Since 1977 he has been working in Frankfurt and the surrounding area as an independent city and tour guide. In addition, he has organized several exhibitions over the years, regularly gives lectures on primarily Frankfurt topics and has published numerous articles and books on Frankfurt architecture and Frankfurt events.

Christian Setzepfandt has been actively involved in the gay movement since his youth and works as a volunteer member of the board of the Frankfurt AIDS Aid. In this office he organizes, among other things, national events as well as prevention and is responsible for public relations. For two decades he and his staff have been organizing the central events for World AIDS Day for AIDS-Hilfe , which take place annually on December 1st in the Paulskirche in Frankfurt and after a silent march at the AIDS Memorial and the Frankfurt Angel near the Peterskirche are committed. Organizationally, he also oversees the “ run for more time ”. In addition, he has moderated the political talk at the Frankfurt CSD and the "minute of silence" on the occasion of people who have died of AIDS for many years .

Politically independent, he has been involved with the Frankfurt Greens for many years and was an honorary member of the municipal council of Frankfurt am Main from 2011 to 2016 . In this function, he also sat on the supervisory board of Frankfurter Tourismus- und Congress GmbH.
