Christian Stoll (medical doctor)

Christian Stoll (born April 23, 1960 in Lübeck ) is a German oral and maxillofacial surgeon and university professor.

Life

Christian Stoll is the son of the Protestant pastor and Bishop Karlheinz Stoll (1927–1992). He grew up in his place of birth Lübeck and passed his Abitur at the Katharineum grammar school there in 1979. He then studied 1979-1986 medicine and additionally 1982-1986 dentistry at the Medical School in Hannover . In 1987 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD .

From 1988 to 1989 he worked as an assistant doctor at the Clinic for Maxillofacial and Facial Plastic Surgery of the Henrietten Foundation in Hanover. In 1989 he moved to the Clinic and Polyclinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU Munich) in Munich , where he worked as a research assistant until 1996. Stoll has been a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1993, he has been an additional specialist in plastic operations since 1995 and has been a specialist dentist in oral surgery with a certified focus on implantology since 1996 . In 1996 he was awarded a Dr. med. dent. PhD. From December 1996 he was a research assistant as a senior physician at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery / Plastic Operations at the Charité , the university clinic of the Humboldt University in Berlin .

In 2001, Stoll received his habilitation for the subject he practiced at the Humboldt University in Berlin . In the same year he moved to the University Hospital Aachen and worked as a senior physician at the local clinic for oral and maxillofacial surgery until 2006. At the beginning of March 2006, Stoll was appointed adjunct professor at RWTH Aachen University and has been teaching there as a private lecturer since then . Since July 2006, Stoll has been the chief physician of the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery / Plastic Operations at the Ruppin Clinics in Neuruppin , which has been one of the three university clinics of the private medical college since the Brandenburg Medical School was founded in 2014 . In July 2015, he was appointed full professor for oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Brandenburg Medical School (MHB), after having been a member of the research commission of the MHB, which is still being established, since 2013.

Christian Stoll is married and has two children.

Act

Stoll was involved in various research projects and, among other things, supervised doctoral students as a private lecturer . He has additional qualifications for medical quality management (2008) and medical informatics (2013) as well as a diploma in business medicine . In addition, he has further training authorizations for oral and maxillofacial surgery, for the additional qualification in plastic operations and as a specialist dentist for oral surgery. He is involved in the Brandenburg State Medical Association and is represented in the following examination committees for specialist designations and additional designations (ZB) (status 2014): Oral and maxillofacial surgery (chairman), ZB plastic operations (chairman) and ZB medical quality management, he also leads Training events for doctors at the Academy for Medical Training of the Chamber in Potsdam . Stoll is a member of the German Society for Implantology in the Dental, Mouth and Jaw Area. V. (DGI), the German Society for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery e. V. (DGMKG) and the German Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery e. V. (DGPW).

At both the HU Berlin and the RWTH Aachen, he was involved in practice-related research in the field of dental, oral, maxillofacial and plastic facial surgery and was involved, for example, in in vitro studies on the usability of filling materials for root fillings (2007) or in the development of textile nonwovens and knitted fabrics for growing oral mucosa (2006).
