Christian Wehrschütz
Christian Ferdinand Wehrschütz (born October 9, 1961 in Graz ) is an Austrian journalist and lawyer .
Life
After graduation in 1980 at the Federal High School and Bundesrealgymnasium Kirchengasse Graz studied Wehrschütz 1981-1985 at the University of Graz Jus , furthermore also Slavic studies , completed these studies and not on.

Journalistic activity
Wehrschütz began his journalistic work for the right-wing extremist monthly magazine Die Aula , where he wrote articles until 1983. From 1987 to 1990 Wehrschütz was editor-in-chief of the weekly newspaper Neue Freie Zeitung of the FPÖ and author of various magazines. In 1988 he volunteered for the Zurich newspaper Neue and wrote in another order on the sheet several years reviews in the section "The political book". He writes regularly about the Balkans for the Kleine Zeitung . He also wrote many essays for various publications.
Wehrschütz has been with ORF since 1991 , where he worked for ORF Teletext until 1992 and then until 1999 for ORF Radio in the current service. In November 1999, Wehrschütz was sent to Belgrade by ORF as a Balkan expert . From there he is responsible for reporting on the former Yugoslavia and Albania .
In June 2011 Wehrschütz, who was assigned to the FPÖ, ran for the office of Director General of the ORF. According to his own statements, the FPÖ did not meet his expectations, which is why he left the party in 2002.
According to its own statements , Wehrschütz speaks English , Russian , Ukrainian , Serbian , French , Slovenian , Macedonian and Albanian and is a military interpreter for Russian and Ukrainian. He is married and has two daughters.
In September 2015, Wehrschütz was also entrusted with the management of the new foreign office in Kiev .
