Christoph Kappesser (2007)

Christoph Kappesser (born April 6, 1960 in Worms ; † August 10, 2020 in Darmstadt ) was a sculptor and art educator . He lived and worked in Darmstadt.

Training and teaching

In 1980, Kappesser began studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen, where he was a student of Lutz Brockhaus from 1981 to 1986 . From 1988 to 1999 he had a teaching position for sculpture at the FH Aachen . During this time, in 1997, he was already giving courses in drawing and painting in the Kunsthalle Darmstadt , which later became his main task. He gave further courses at the nearby Free Art School in Dieburg . In 2003 he switched to the State Drawing Academy in Hanau .
