Christophe Etienne André Fricker (* 1978 in Wiesbaden ) is a German literary scholar, writer, editor and translator.

Life

After studying political science , German and musicology in Singapore , Freiburg im Breisgau and Halifax , he did his doctorate on Stefan George at St John's College in Oxford . Until summer 2010 he was Managing Director of the German language program at Duke University . In autumn 2011 he was Craig-Kade Writer-in-Residence at the Department of Germanic, Russian, and East European Languages ​​and Literatures in Rutgers and a 2012 Fellow at the Hanse Wissenschaftskolleg in Delmenhorst . From 2012 to 2014 he carried out a Marie Curie research project on Ernst Jünger at the University of Bristol .

In 2009 he edited the correspondence between the George Circle members Friedrich Gundolf and Friedrich Wolters .
