Christopher Townsend

Christopher Townsend (* in England ) is a British VFX supervisor who was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects in 2014 for Iron Man 3 .

Life

He studied graphic design at Coventry University and graduated in 1988. In 1995, he went to Industrial Light & Magic , where he has been involved in films such as Congo , Deep Impact and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones . In 2006 he left the company to work as a freelance VFX supervisor . In that capacity, he worked on such films as Journey to the Center of the Earth , X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Captain America: The First Avenger .

2014 he was together with Guy Williams , Erik Nash and Daniel Sudick for Iron Man 3 for the Oscar in the category visual effects best nominated.
