Qianjin ( Chinese  前 金 區 , Pinyin Qiánjīn Qū , Tongyong Pinyin Ciánjin Cyu , Pe̍h-ōe-jī Chiân-kim-khu ), also Cianjin , is a district of the Taiwanese city ​​of Kaohsiung . In June 2014 27,908 people lived here; With an area of ​​1.86 km², Qianjin is the third smallest district of Kaohsiung, but has the sixth highest population density.

The district, which is centrally located in the core city of Kaohsiung, is surrounded by the neighboring districts of Sanmin , Xinxing , Lingya and Gushan . The district lies on the north bank of the Love River just before it flows into Kaohsiung Harbor. With its proximity to the nucleus of the city, the Kaohsiung Harbor, Qianjin is one of the oldest parts of the city. From 1946 to 2011, the district hosted Kaohsiung City Council. The Kaohsiung Central Park and the Li De Ballpark are among the most prominent facilities in Qianjin. The Wufu business district with a number of department stores and hotels is also located here, along Wufu Road. Located on the River of Love, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary forms the center of the Kaohsiung diocese of the Catholic Church.
