history

The beginnings

The group was founded in 2003 by Luciana Segovia (vocals), as well as the brothers Gabriel Leopardi (lead guitar) and Sebastián Leopardi (electric bass) in Adrogué , a smaller town 23 kilometers south of the capital Buenos Aires . Shortly after the band was founded, Luisao Lernández (drums) joined the trio. Then the musicians began to write their first compositions for a demo release. However, a production has not yet materialized as the group was not completed until 2004. Together with Cesar Andino from Cabezones , the group recorded their first EP, which was released in 2006 on their own. This is called Algo Quedará .

Andoni decided to work with the group again after the release of this EP and offered to stand by the musicians for the production of a complete album. Cirse accepted his offer. The group was able to win the jazz rocker Luis Alberto Spinetta , who can be heard in the song Alma de Diamante, as a guest musician . The album, which bears the title Bi-Polar , was released on December 14, 2007 nationally via ArteDark . The band produced their first music video for Too Late, directed by Gustavo Stenta . This was broadcast on MTV and MuchMusic , among others . The national music television broadcaster CM has also dedicated itself to the group.

In 2009 Luisao Fernández left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Geronimo Pastore. While the work on the follow-up album by Bi-Polar , entitled Imaginario , ended, the record contract with the label ended, so that it was distributed independently in August 2010. Due to the increasing success in the meantime, the album sold very well despite this fact. Pastore, who only joined the group in 2009, passed away unexpectedly a year later. The group hired on the advice of their former drummer Luisao Diego Lucas, who took Pastore's place in the band. At the end of 2010, the group introduced Lupe Sandri as the band's manager.

The new era

In December 2010 the group was voted the winner of the Bombardeo del Demo by the listeners of FM Rock & Pop and was allowed to play together with the rock band Machu Catupecu at the Teatro Colegiales in Buenos Aires . After a summer tour along the coast of Argentina, the group was invited by Paramore to support the band. The concert took place on February 24, 2011 in Luna Park . This concert again generated a great response, so that the second music video was also broadcast on MTV .

In May and July 2011, the group played, after they had previously played more in the Buenos Aires region , a tour in the southwest of the country, including in Lanús , Quilmes , Santa Fé and Ramos Mejía . Shortly after the end of this tour, the group was allowed to perform as a support band for Avril Lavigne on July 24th at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza . Two months later, on September 24, 2011, the group won a voting on the social network Facebook , which was carried out by the organizers of the Pepsi Music Festival and was allowed to play as a newcomer at the music festival. In November, the music video Juré was released , which was presented during a performance by the group at the La Trastienda Club .

At the beginning of 2012, the group toured again along the coast of Argentina, playing in Mar del Plata and Villa Gesell , among others . On May 4th, 2012 the band opened a concert in Luna Park for Duran Duran . This was followed by the release of the music video Apuesta on July 7th. The group had meanwhile integrated Christian Bonelli into the band as the second guitarist. Due to musical differences between the band and their drummer Diego Lucas, Lucas was replaced by Martin Magliano on drums. On October 21, 2012 the group played again at the Pepsi Music Festival . The group first performed on the main stage in 2012. The group played there together with Cabezones , Carajo and Evanescence . A few weeks later, the group's second EP, Apuesta, was released. On April 21, 2013 the group played as part of the Resistance Tour together with DENY and Bulldog in Temperley .

Third album: Rompiente

In April and May 2013 the group was in the studio to record their third studio album. On August 7, 2013, a music video was released for the first single, called Miedos . On August 23, 2013, the album titled Rompiente was officially released during a release party. The concert took place at the Teatro Vorterix in Buenos Aires . In addition, the concert served as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the band.

The group has been touring across the country since the album was released. On December 14, 2013, the group opened up for Incubus and Dave Matthews Band . On December 13, 2013 it was announced that the band had been booked for the Cosquin Rock Festival . The group will perform there on March 1st, 2014.
