Claire van der Boom (born November 21, 1983 in Broome ) is an Australian actress .

Life

Van der Boom grew up in Broome in Western Australia and trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney . She took on her first roles in the Australian television series Love my Way and Rush . In 2008 she starred in the drama The Square and moved to Los Angeles after winning a green card . In 2010 she took on a minor role in Steven Spielberg's The Pacific and was selected for the role of Rachel Edwards in Hawaii Five-0 .

In 2012, Van der Boom was part of two off-Broadway productions. In David Rabe's An Early History of Fire she took on the female lead as well as in Heartless by Sam Shepard .

In addition to her acting career, Van der Boom released a single Do What You Want under the pseudonym Claire Sky in 2004 . This was Van der Boom's only foray into the music business so far.
