Claudia Dietz (* 1967 in Stuttgart ) is a German sculptor and designer .
life and work
Claudia Dietz grew up in Stuttgart. From 1985 to 1988 she completed an apprenticeship as a stonemason . She studied free sculpture from 1991 to 1994 at the Stuttgart Art Academy , from 1999 to 2001 at the Academy for Design, Ulm . Dietz has been a freelance sculptor and designer since 2001 and lives in Eberdingen , Ludwigsburg district.
Dietz is a member of the Association of Visual Artists Württemberg (VBKW), the Association of Freelance Sculptors Baden-Württemberg (BfB), Gedok Stuttgart and Sculpture Network eV Since 2014 she has been a board member of the Association of Freelance Sculptors Baden-Württemberg.
As a sculptor, Dietz mostly works en taille directe, ie directly out of the stone. Her preferred material is sandstone , which she often uses in color .
