Clemens Sedmak
Clemens Sedmak (born August 6, 1971 in Bad Ischl ) is an Austrian theologian and philosopher.
He was professor of philosophy at King's College London , University of London and is head of the Center for Ethics and Poverty Research at the University of Salzburg and head of the scientific advisory board of the International Research Center for Social and Ethical Issues in Salzburg. Sedmak has been Professor of Social Ethics at the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame in the United States since 2018 .
Sedmak received his doctorate in philosophy, theology and social theory from the University of Innsbruck and the University of Linz . This was followed by further study visits to Maryknoll ( New York ) and at the ETH Zurich . In 1999 he completed his habilitation at the Catholic-Theological University in Linz in fundamental theology and a year later at the University of Innsbruck in philosophy.
Sedmak is married and has three children. He lives in Seekirchen .
