Clive Pullen (born October 18, 1994 in Saint Andrew Parish ) is a Jamaican triple jumper who also competes in the long jump .

Athletic career

Clive Pullen gained his first international experience at the 2010 CARIFTA Games in George Town , where he won the gold medal in the long jump with 6.72 m. He then won the Central America and Caribbean Junior Championships (CAC) in Santo Domingo with 6.74 m bronze in the long jump and finished seventh in the triple jump with 13.69 m. In 2011 he won the silver medal at the CARIFTA Games in Montego Bay with 7.15 m and finished ninth in the final at the World Youth Championships in Lille with 7.19 m. In 2012 he won the gold medal in the triple jump at the CAC Junior Championships in San Salvador with 7.20 m and took fourth place in the triple jump with 15.65 m. He then took part in the triple jump at the Junior World Championships in Barcelona , where he finished ninth with 15.79 m. At the CARIFTA Games 2013 in Nassau he won the gold medal in the triple jump with 15.44 m and silver in the long jump with 7.38 m.

In 2016 Pullen qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and was eliminated there with 16.08 m in qualification . At the 2017 World Championships in London , he also did not reach the final with 15.61 m . In 2018 he finished 13th at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with 16.13 m and at the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast in early April he finished seventh with 16.25 m.

In 2016 and 2017 as well as 2019, Pullen became the Jamaican triple jump champion. He is a student at the University of Arkansas .
