Al Cliver
Al Cliver (actually Pierluigi Conti ; born July 16, 1951 in Alexandria , Egypt ) is an Italian actor .
Life
After he had to leave the country of his birth with his parents at the age of five, Conti made his first film experiences at the age of 16 when he was hired for commercials. His first feature film was Libido - The Great Lexicon of Lust (1969). In the same year Luchino Visconti engaged him for Die Verdammten . He made his film debut under his pseudonym in 1974 in Il saprofita by Sergio Nasca , for which he received the Silver Ribbon for Best Young Actor. In 1975 he starred in Una ondata di piacere , a thriller by Ruggero Deodato . By 1990 he appeared in around forty works, including numerous classics of the exploitation film . He often played for Lucio Fulci ; for the last time in Demonia , a horror film (1989).
After retiring from the film business, he worked as a carpenter , wicker and furniture seller in Rome.
For several years he was the partner of actress Annie Belle .
