Clydesdale Bank 40 2012
The Clydesdale Bank 40 2012 is the third edition of the national List A cricket competition in England . The competition will be held between May 4th and September 15th 2012 between the 18 English first-class counties and three additional teams. In the final, Hampshire was able to prevail against Warwickshire with 3 wickets .
format
The 21 teams were drawn into three groups of 7 teams each, in which each team competes twice against each other. There are two points for a win, one for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. The best of each group as well as the best runner-up qualify for the semi-finals, where the winner is then played out in the knockout system.
