criticism

“The glory days of the American satirical magazine 'National Lampoon' go back to the beginning of the seventies and therefore a long time ago. ... And the umpteenth American Pie clone 'College Animals' is no longer a notable exception with its embarrassing humor. In contrast to films like Donnie Darko, the film did not make it into German cinemas for good reasons, but was released directly on DVD. (The fact that the original title 'Dorm Daze', which basically means something like 'crazy dormitory', has been 'translated' into another English title by the German distributor is indicative once again). "

- Andreas R. Becker : film starts

'Dorm Daze' is pretty much the definition of harmless fun; It's not terribly funny, though it essentially remains entertaining throughout.

"'Dorm Daze' is the name of harmless pleasure, but it remains essentially entertaining."

- David Nusair : Reel Film Reviews

“Probably meant to be fun, turbulence in a dormitory, where a French exchange student is mistaken for a call girl and the money of a contract killer falls into the lap of a lovesick student. Questionable entertainment in the form of a funky, revealing teen comedy to which the former National Lampoon seal of quality was stuck on in retrospect (in the original). "
