The Communauté d'agglomération du Bassin d'Annonay is a former community association with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the French department of Ardèche , whose administrative seat was in the village of Davézieux . It was on the northern edge of the department on a broad base above the Rhône at the transition to the Mont Pilat massif, which was already part of the Massif Central . The central location of the association was Annonay . The community association consisted of 16 communities on an area of 212.1 km 2 .
tasks
The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The municipal association determined the housing policy. In matters of community infrastructure, he operated the sewage disposal (partially), garbage collection and disposal and organized local public transport. In addition, the association built and maintained cultural and sports facilities and sponsored events in these areas.
Historical development
The current organizational form of the community association was created on December 11, 2013 by transforming the Communauté de communes du Bassin d'Annonay into a Communauté d'agglomération . From March 10, 1999 to December 2013, the Communauté de communes existed as the successor to the District Urbain d'Annonay founded in 1968 .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes Vivarhône and thus formed the successor organization Annonay Rhône Agglo .
