Conny Bischofberger
Conny Bischofberger (born May 21, 1960 in Mellau , Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian journalist and book author. Since 1991, with a few interruptions, she has been an interviewer for the Kronen Zeitung .
Career
Conny Bischofberger graduated from Innsbruck in 1978, but broke off her law studies after a year. As early as 1977 she began to work as an intern at the Neue Vorarlberger Tageszeitung in Bregenz , in 1978 she became an editorial candidate and completed her three-year training.
In 1983 she switched to the St. Galler Tagblatt . In 1985 she moved to Vienna and worked as an editor at the Kurier , where she started her first interview format “To the point” in 1988. During this time she was also a freelancer for Weltwoche Zurich (1985 to 1987) and the monthly magazine Basta (1988), as well as a social columnist for the Wienerin magazine .
In 1991 she started working as a star interviewer at the Kronen Zeitung, where she designed the Sunday column “Personal” until March 2006. During this time she also wrote double interview series for Bild am Sonntag (1994 to 1999), was a member of the editor-in-chief for the development of the women's magazine Woman (2001 to 2002), and editor-in-chief of the daily radio talk show Resetarits live (2003 to 2004).
In the spring of 2006 the change to the newly started daily newspaper project Austria should take place, where Bischofberger should be responsible for the “interview of the day” and as a lecturer at the in-house journalists' academy. But even before the start of the project, she accepted the offer to manage the Sunday edition of the Kurier (until September 2009).
In October 2011, Bischofberger returned to Kronen Zeitung as an interviewer. She is also the journalistic advisor to the publisher and editor-in-chief Christoph Dichand .
In almost three decades as an interviewer, she published well over 1000 interviews in Austrian, German and Swiss media, including with the Dalai Lama .
Private
Conny Bischofberger has two sons from a relationship with Hans Mahr . Her older brother Norbert (* 1956) is a biochemist .
