Craig Parkinson (born March 11, 1976 in England ) is a British actor .

life and career

Craig Parkinson began acting while he was still in school. He attended Blackpool and Fylde College and a drama school in London . He also studied at the Mountview Academy of Theater Arts in London .

Craig Parkinson had one of his first television roles in 2001 in the crime series Dalziel to Pascoe . This was followed by roles in Attachments , The Bill , Ed Stone Is Dead , Hustle , Black Books and Outlaws . In 2007 he starred as Tony Wilson in Control . A year later, the film The Other followed, as well as a longer story arc in Massive . Parkinson starred in the 2009 film Desert Flower and 2010 in the Four Lions and Brighton Rock films. Between 2010 and 2011 he played Shaun in the series Misfits . Since 2012, Parkinson has been part of the main cast of the Line of Duty series alongside Vicky McClure . In 2017 he left the series. Other roles followed, especially in television productions. In the 2020 Netflix series The English Game , he embodied the first patron in the history of football.

Craig Parkinson is married to Irish actress Susan Lynch . The two have a child together. His brother-in-law is the actor John Lynch .
