history

The Astoria

The shipping company was founded in 2009. Initially, the Marco Polo was chartered by Transocean Cruises . In 2013 the Astor and the Belvedere were chartered from Transocean Cruises. This shipping company was completely taken over by CMV at the beginning of 2014, which is why Bellejour also came to CMV. In February 2013, the Discovery cruise ship was chartered from the All Leisure Group. At the end of the 2014 season, the ship was decommissioned. As a replacement, the Astoria has been chartered by Portuscale Cruises since 2015 . In 2015 the Magellan was also bought by Costa Crociere . She was the flagship of the shipping company until the Pacific Pearl was bought by P&O Cruises Australia in 2017 , which has since been the flagship of the shipping company as Columbus .

In 2018, Cruise & Maritime Voyages announced the takeover of Pacific Eden from P&O Cruises Australia , which took place in 2019. The ship was named Vasco da Gama . In 2019, Cruise & Maritime Voyages announced the acquisition of Pacific Dawn and Pacific Aria in 2021. They should be named Amy Johnson and Ida Pfeiffer . At the same time it should Astor in Jules Verne are renamed and used on the French market.

On July 20, 2020, Cruise & Maritime Voyages filed for bankruptcy.
